We invite submissions for the upcoming Particle Minibeam Therapy Workshop, with the following proposed abstract themes:
Preclinical Research on Particle Minibeam Therapy
Clinical Applications and Treatment Protocols
Dosimetry Techniques and Standards
Innovations in Particle Minibeam Technology
Biological Mechanisms and Effects of Particle Minibeams
Translation from X-ray SFRT to Particle MinibeamsEach session will focus on identifying the current barriers to clinical implementation and how the presented research helps address these challenges. Alongside oral presentations, there will be opportunities for e-poster presentations during lunch and coffee breaks. We are also introducing a new thematic focus this year with a session dedicated to X-ray Spatially Fractionated Radiotherapy (SFRT). Building on the significant interest shown in this topic at previous workshops, this session will explore how developments in X-ray SFRT can be translated to particle beams.
In addition, we encourage the submission of
question abstracts, where you can propose discussion topics for a brief 5-10 minute presentation. These will form part of our open forum discussions and offer a unique opportunity to engage the community in tackling key issues.
Topical abstracts should be no more than
300 words, excluding the title, authors, and affiliations. Question abstracts should be no more than
150 words.
Please submit your abstracts in PDF format to
pmbt@npl.co.uk. In your submission email, please specify if you have a preference for an
oral presentation or
poster, and whether you are a
student.
The deadline for abstracts is 23 December 2025, and successful submissions will be notified in January 2025.
